twitterAll I have to say is be prepared for the Armageddon. Because, I, Jason Foster, operator of onbeer.org, passionate beer guy and Luddite of the decade, have just signed up to Twitter.

I don’t quite know what I am going to do with it, but I have been finally convinced it is a good idea. So, as they say in this world, follow me and we will see what happens.

My handle is @ABbeerguy, appropriately enough.

I can’t and won’t promise you anything at this point, but I am now a convert. I will see how Twitter might help get the word out about craft beer on the prairies. At the minimum I will push out my posts so you can get a notification rather than randomly checking the website to see if I have written anything. But mostly I am thinking it might be a way to share beer news without having to compile it in a post once a month or so. As I say, I am not sure, but it might be worth a try.

I also kind of like the idea of tweeting in the moment when trying a new beer. But, as I say, I am not promising anything. I am pretty certain I won’t be one of those irritating guys who tweets every hour about what they are having for lunch. If I tweet, it will likely be important. But, again, I am not promising anything.

Am I making myself clear?

So, if you are a beer person in the region, consider following me.

All this shameless self-promotion is making me dizzy, so I will stop. So, follow me so I don’t have to ask you again.

I promise to soon return to our regularly scheduled beer programming.
